Chuck & Don’s is expanding in the Denver market with a new location in Greenwood Village.

Chuck & Don’s has the opportunity to carry on the legacy of Pet Outfitters upon its owners’ retirement. The Pet Outfitters location in Greenwood Village was officially welcomed into the Chuck & Don’s family on March 15, and will continue to provide pet food, supplies and support to pets and their owners in the Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills area.

Pet Outfitters was established in 1987 and has been servicing the Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills area ever since. Since 2001, Libby Miller and professional staff have set a focus to bring pets and their owners healthy food and safe products. In addition, the store has supported local animal shelters and actively participated in a variety of charitable causes dedicated to the protection and care of animals.

To ensure Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills continue to get the best support for their pet’s needs, Miller has become part of the Chuck & Don’s family and is now in a consulting role to help the company and its customers transition to the Chuck & Don’s brand.

“When we were looking to sell the business, we wanted to find the best company possible to carry on our values and mission in this neighborhood,” said Libby Miller. “We’re excited to be joining forces with a like-minded company who will continue to serve pets and their owners in Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills.”

Since its inception in 1990, Chuck & Don’s has continued to grow throughout the Midwest and beyond, boasting 30 Minnesota locations, 10 Colorado locations, one location in Wisconsin, and three stores in Kansas that operate under the All Paws Pet Center brand. With a desire to grow the business and offer an outstanding customer experience, Chuck & Don’s was attracted to Pet Outfitters as an independently-owned business whose values and culture mirror its own, said company officials.

“We’ve been looking for the right partner to help further expand in the southeast Denver area, and I’m happy to say we’ve found that in Libby and her Pet Outfitters operation,” said Bob Hartzell, CEO and president of Chuck & Don’s. “Pet Outfitters is known for its high quality pet products and friendly, knowledgeable service, making them a great addition to the Chuck & Don’s family.”

The Pet Outfitters location will move into an adjacent larger space this spring where it will become part of the newest Chuck & Don’s Colorado location at 5926 S Holly Street. The Chuck & Don’s at Greenwood Village will be 5,500 square feet and feature a self-service dog wash, a first-time offering for the company in the Colorado market.
